Nice!

Has anyone looked at or purchased the anytone 878?

It’s a newer model dual band HT with gps and APRS support on both dmr and analog.

It’s the first DMR HT that I’ve read about that can do APRS out-of-the-box, and it seems like you can
set it up in a dual-monitor mode, where you can transmit and receive on one frequency / channel / talk group / etc,
while using the other portion of the radio to send (and receive too?) APRS packets, including on analog.

I’m really interested in finding out how well it works, whether the APRS is full featured, or somewhat limited, how easy it is to use and how well it works!

It’s $219 at HRO, https://www.hamradio.com/detail.cfm?pid=H0-016505 <https://www.hamradio.com/detail.cfm?pid=H0-016505>
