During our trip to Hamvention we made a stop off at the VOA museum.
Amazing place. We had the ability to be sent further information. This is
what I got.

Thank you for your interest in preserving the National Voice of America
Museum of Broadcasting at the Bethany Relay Station. We are definitely a
"work-in-progress" and will have many more new displays in the future.
More information can be found at our website, www.voamuseum.org such
as our VOA Museum video and the Jack Rouse and Associates design for the
ideal museum. There are also links to the Media Heritage Museum and the
WC8VOA amateur radio station. Be sure to also visit our blog page.

Attached is the 1994 handout that was given to visitors to the station in
the 1990s. The information there is relevant to the VOA of the 1990s and
not necessarily to VOA operations today.

Also attached is the 1944 article by R.J.Rockwell, Vice President and
Director of Engineering for Crosley Broadcasting. In this article he
describes the brand new high-power transmitting plant that he designed and
built for the Office of War Information.

You may be interested in a video tour that AmateurLogic.TV did of the
station and it is now on YouTube. Please visit

Mr. Audio from Cincinnati also visited the station and produced a 2-minute
podcast about VOA Bethany. The link to hear this is

Don't forget, the museums (VOA Museum, Media Heritage Museum, Gray
History of Wireless Museum and the WC8VOA amateur radio station) are open
every Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.

Also check us out on Facebook.
