[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] FIELD DAY REMINDER

Field Day is this weekend!
PLEASE come out and help with set up and with take down and plan to spend a
few hours on one of the 5 stations.
We normally are not a CONTEST oriented club, but it would be interesting to
see how well we can do in an emergency operation.  Each band has different
properties and on the lower bands 160,80/75 and 40 meters you get near (500
miles) during the day and longer ranges at night.  On the upper bands (20,15
and 10) you can work across the country or around the world.  
We will have the 5 HF stations and a VHF station.   

If your working on your General Class license, Field Day is a great PRATICAL
demonstration of the theory your studying.
