Hi

It is that time of year. The sign up for Amateur Radio Operators to
support the 42nd Marine Corp Marathon is now open.

There are sign ups at two sites:

1: Register to volunteer for Marine Corps Marathon at
http://xactllc.volunteerlocal.com/volunteer/?start_over&id=22198

2: Next is our website: www.mcmham.org

You have to register on both web sites. If you want to bring someone with
you, they have to register also. If you have any special requests, please
so indicate in the comments section on the www.mcmham.org website. If you
have questions please email me.

Notes:

- The Marathon is Sunday Oct. 22nd, 2017

- The course hopefully will be back to the 2015 course.

- The MCM will be staging shirts, vests, food at check in for us.
We will not have to transport those items this year.

- The MCM will help us identify where to park on the course.

- We will not be accepting arrl.net email addresses this year as
we have had problems is past years sending emails concerning the Marathon
through arrl.net.

- At the all-hands:

o Radio programming

o Radio audio level testing

o Radio testing to ensure your PL tones are programmed

We need some more hams to help with the planning. If you would like to
help, or would like more information, please email me. The planning
committee meets at the AFRH the second Saturday of every month at 10:00
AM. We are usually done the shortly after lunch.

We need help for various functions:

- Race day help with installing/picking up the APRS portable radios

- Checkin help, hot spots needed

- ID-1 operators

- 9600 packet operators

- Frequency validator

- Hams to present the recruitment PowerPoint to Maryland clubs

- Someone to consolidate the After Action Reports

- Video record the All Hands

- Edit/post all hands video

If you have questions or would like to help with the planning or some of
the various jobs, please email me.
