[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] Frostfest Frequencies

There are 2 Cracker Barrels in the Fredericksburg area.

We stop at the one on the South end of town at the Massaponax exit.  

For the GPS, the address is: 
5200 Southpoint Parkway
Fredericksburg, VA 22407

Take exit 126 toward Spotsylvania.  Look for the Car Max lot on the right.
Go to the bottom of the hill, take the right
After .34 miles (2 traffic lights?), take the left on to Southpoint Parkway
Follow Southpoint Parkway as bears left and you will come up to the back of Cracker Barrel on the right side of the road.

There should be somebody listening on 444.600 or 147.315 simplex.

For hamfest communications, we came to the conclusion to use 444.600 MHz simplex (output frequency of our 70 cm repeater). 

We can also use 446.025 MHz DSTAR, 224.820 MHz simplex and 927.600 MHz simplex.  

There is a System Fusion repeater in the Richmond area on 147.315, so using that frequency like we usually do at hamfests s liable to upset the local users.  If you don’t have any of those available, you can stick close to somebody who does.
