[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] Too hot to set up outside...

Tom,
Congratulations on your QRP QSO with Kansas. I recently acquired an AlexLoop. I haven't had a great deal of luck so far but then I was trying to make 40M contacts. I was "at the Shore" in N. Wildwood, NJ. I was out on the edge of the Beach trying to make a contact activating a Beaches on the Air (BOTA) beach. A friend, K3JRU pointed out the extreme losses on 40M with an AlexLoop and I wasn't surprised no one was answering me.
I'm going to try operating from my living room but we have metal studs and a Stucco exterior so I'm not optimistic. Once the weather cools a bit I can go out on the balcony were I'll have 180 degrees with no Stucco or metal studs.

...so I set up the Alexloop in my living room. I have an old house with
no metal in the walls. The bands weren't great, but I did manage a
contact in the Kansas QSO party!
