Something to talk about at the next meeting.
We usually invite the VA QSO folks to provide the February meeting.

Hi,

This email solicits your help in preparing for the 2016 Virginia QSO Party. More specifically, you can help by:

1) Consider volunteering to be a "Bonus Station" and

2) If you belong to a club, ask them to consider inviting The Sterling Park Amateur Radio Club to attend one of your meetings and give a presentation on the Virginia QSO Party.

Bonus Stations: This year, we will use other stations in Virginia as bonus stations (using their own call sign) in addition to K4NVA. The bonus stations should:
     operate in HF, preferably 40M
be on the air for a significant period of time, and
     would either
        1) operate from a county or independent city with a low number of QSOs last year or
        2) commemorate a special event or activity.

500 bonus points are awarded for a contact with a bonus station. Only one 500 bonus is awarded regardless of how many bonus stations are contacted.

I may be contacted via email to vqp at verizon.net.
