It looks like the unanimous choice for my Raspberry Pi is Raspbian. 
That's where I will go.

Mine came with a clear enclosure, and I also ordered  9" TFT screen with 
driver board, and
a miniature keyboard. It's too small for me to ever be able to 
touch-type with it, but it also
includes a touch mousepad and I think I can deal with it. I backed a 
analog/digital interface
board that will connect to the GPIO on Kickstarter, and I would like to 
see if I can't make it
interpret CW.
