[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] Just got a Raspberry Pi 2 B -- need suggestions for which OS to install

I have a Raspberry PI 2 Model B on order and will use it with a NW Digital
Radio DV3000 for a "tiny" DStar repeater. I'm probably going to use the PI
Raspian OS with it, as it's been compiled to run on the quad core processer
that the Rasp Pi 2 Model B comes with. I've also got a Sans disk 32gb UHS-I
micro SD card for the high output reads/writes for use with it as well.
Thirty two gbs are pretty cheap these days--I would want at a minimum 8 gb,
but definitely go for the fast I/O Ultra style micro SD cards so you can
maintain throughput.

I hope that some of the Raspberry Pi experimenters are still subscribed to
this list. Mine came with the NOOBS software on an SD card, and it has
several choices of OS's to pick from.
Does anyone who has already done this
have any suggestions/tips?
