[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] Bull Run 50

In response to Rick's note, Don (KI4D) and I have volunteered to lead the ham support for the Bull Run 50 miler this year.

 

I will be primary and Don has agreed to be supporting lead in this effort.  Separately, we will be contacting those who volunteered for race support last year regarding their plans to support the race again this year. Others who are interested in supporting the race this year should send an email to me with copy to Don at ki4d at arrl.net.

 

We support this race with five stations along the race course using 6 meters FM voice and MT-63-2000-short digital data, however, all volunteers are not required to have a 6-meter capabiliity.

All,

      I received a request to help out with the Bull Run Run again this year.  My e-mail list does not include all of the past volunteers, so please feel free to forward to all other amateurs who might be interested in supporting this event.

      Event will on April 13th.  I am happy to coordinate, but I will not be able to participate as I will be one week or so out of knee surgery and will still be stuck in the house recovering.  

      If someone else could take the lead, that would be very helpful.

The event is April 13. The times of everything are the same as last year.

Don't remember what the times for your guys were last year, but the aid station opening times are:

 

Hemlock Overlook: 8 am

Bull Run Marina: 8:30

Wolf Run Shoals: 9

Fountainhead: 9:30

Do-Loop [near Fountainhead]: 10
