Calling all HAMs--Elmers


a call went out a while back for folks to help with a Scouting Merit Radio Badge.  We have an event on Feb 9th that will host Scouts pursuing a number of badges---48 have signed up for the Radio Badge!!!  The coordinator hosting the event (Don KC1AT) sent me a note and I told him i would reach out to the club as well.  I will be there all day; if you could help with either a morning session or afternoon that would be great.  The sessions (approx 3 1/2 hours) will be held at the MITRE Corporation, 7515 Colshire, McLean, VA.  We could use some live equipment demos--scouts love to play with live-equipment.  Another option may be "on air" support if we can get a signal---grab a cup of coffee and man your shack!!  I know a couple of you have connected with Don from the earlier emails.  Please send me a note if you are interested and we can all connect.


Looking ahead, i have a applied to be a merit badge counselor for my son's troop--ideas and your future support would be much appreciated.
