Been scanning around on 6 meters, and just when I think the band is dead, hear FK8CP on 50.110. Ended up working him, for a new one, which was sweeeeeet. 6 Meters is a very interesting band I wish more folks would particpate in. Just when you think nothing is out there, you never know. About a couple of months ago, had a similar experience, and heard KH6 pop in. 

Often times, the prop is north or east of here, but once in a while, that magic band door opens for a short while and you get lucky.

I encourage you all to challenge yourselves to leave your 6 meter radio on now and then and listen..tune around, listen....

You never know...I still have my wav file of my Q with JA. I will cherish that Qso.

PS: Modest station. FT-920, 5 elements and a small amp.
