[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] Bull Run Run 50 Miler - 9 April 2011

I am looking for volunteers for this year’s Bull Run Run 50 Miler.  The date of 
this race is 9 April 2011.  The positions I need include operators for Aid 
Stations, two shadow positions, and two  net control operators.  
 
This is great opportunity to check how your equipment will work in an all-day 
event.  In addition, the terrain and distances create challenges for our 
communications.   Unfortunately, a hand-held radio is not adequate for this 
event.  
 
This year, in addition to using 6 Meter FM, we will be testing the effectiveness 
of 40 Meter NVIS.  This test will include, as a minimum, the two Aid Stations at 
the far end of the course and Net Control.

Include your Tee-Shirt size in your reply.  If you are interested in helping, 
but do not have 6 Meter FM or 40 Meter equipment, please let me know.  If you do 
not have experience, please let me know.  I will pair people together to 
overcome equipment needs or low experience.
