Subject: Alexandria Red Cross Waterfront Festival

I am in need of a few folks to help with festival communications on
Saturday, June 20th, 9am to 11pm and Sunday, June 21st, 10am to 5pm. This
is not amateur radio specifically-even though the necessary skills are the
same. It's informal, with the potential of an emergency developing in the
event of a thunder storm, for example. Volunteers receive a tee shirt and
free admission to the festival. Traditionally, we have had a group of
die-hards who stay all day and alternate between work and play but can
accommodate anyone who would like to help out. As a bonus, we have air
conditioning! We will be located in a Red Cross vehicle on the United Way
terrace at 701 N Fairfax Street. There is a shuttle to Metro and the Masonic
Temple.

The Emergency Communications Response Vehicle (ECRV) will also be on display
during the festival if you are there and interested in taking a look.

Please have anyone interested in helping out get in touch with me.

Jeanne
