Maki and all,
Here is a copy of the map for the course. We will meet at the
finish point at 0630.
Thanks for volunteering for this last minute operation. We will make
assignments at 0630 with someone acting as Net Control, Someone as Tail end
Charlie (Race Start and follow last runner) and whom ever else as
assignments along the course.
Below is info from the race director.
Rick,
Listed below are the water stops
1) Fort Hunt Park - between mile 2 and 3
2) The Old Stone Bridge - at Mile 5
3) The 5 K start - Between Belle Haven Road and Belle View Road
4) Jos A. Bank at Washington Street and Jefferson Street in city of
Alexandria
5) Franklin and Union - around mile 9
I would say that if we need to prioritize then we work backwards from #4. #4
is first priority, #3 second, #2 third and #1 fourth
Our main concern will be hydration issues so the longer the race goes the
more chance for that to appear. that is the basis for the priorities. #5 is
so close to #4 we can skip that one plus we will have assets at the finish
to get to it if need be
Does that work for you?
all I need to know tomorrow is what stops we have covered. I will be near
main med and will always have my cell with me
Thanks again, DOn

Help with Event
Rick N4ASX,
Thanks for including me in this event. I'm excited to assist.
My FT-817ND according to specs will do 6m, though I've never tried it. It
also does 2m and I have the K4US(146.655) repeater in one of my memory
channels already. I will make sure to charge the batteries tonight.
I'll try to reach you again today(Saturday), but if it's convenient you
can call me at 703.625.8496(cell).
73,
....maki.... K4RQZ
