I think I sent this out to all last week, but did not see the echo at home.

Charlie McRorie has invited ARES to participate in a short drill on the
18th.  If you can help out or participate please let me know.

I know that some will be at the briefing for Marine Corps Marathon, but if
you can support please let me know.

ARES and RACES members from neighboring jurisdictions are welcome.

Rick,
     If you and others are interested in a sort of repeat performance, on
Saturday, October 18, the Goodwin House at 4800 Fillmore Ave, is having an
evacuation exercise similar to the one we did a few years ago.  This time
the scenario will mean the players evacuate the original building and gather
at their designated assembly point.  There will be Fire and EMS on site, but
no transports to the hospital.  Also, I am asking if the Red Cross wants to
participate.  So, Hams could be used on site as needed and to go to
potential locations such as the Chapter House and Alex Hospital.
We would stage at the NOVA campus parking lot at 08:30, start at 09:00 and
end by 10:00 with a hot wash critique.  At this point the Goodwin House is
seeking players from residents & staff, so we do not know the numbers of
participants yet.
