[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] Dayton Hamvention 2008

Attention Alexandria Radio Club members,

The Dayton Hamvention is approching fast.  In fact, its only 51 days away.  While that sounds like a lot, it really isn't.

We still have rooms available.  Each year we book 6 rooms at one of the hotels in the Dayton area.   As you can imagine, hotel rooms are in short supply during that weekend because of the Hamvention and another event that also takes place the same weekend.

If you have never been before, its an experience.  Anything made for ham radio is there.  The manufacturers introduce their new equipment at Dayton.  There is a flea market like no other.  Forums all day long where you can learn about the latest happenings, operating modes, etc.

There are also after hours activities sponsored by various clubs, organizations and manufacturers.

The cost for the weekend is approximately $200 for the room based on two people sharing, $28 for admission, including bus fare, 1 tank of gas ($40 - $60) plus whatever you spend on meals and purchases at Hamvention.

If you interested in going, let me know ASAP.  We have 3 rooms to fill.  I want to send in the ticket order by the 25th of April so we will have them before we leave.
