Thanks Eric,
Interesting. What Mark told me was that the cost of removing the tower
was excessive and that he would rather have us put it to use in exchange for
having the warning light changed once a year. As we didn't have a volunteer
to change the lights, I'm not sure we could take advantage of the offer.
June is a bad month for me but I will be happy to pass the request for
volunteers to the club. To all who are copy on this, if you can support
Willy and the Tour De Cure, please get in touch with him.
Give your friend our best on his up coming wedding.

Hi Rick,

Just FYI - To the best of my knowledge, the tower at Fire Station 206 is to
be removed. My boss (the city radio manager) and one of the Battalion
Chiefs have been working on disposing of the tower for a while. I'm not
sure why Mark is offering its use. My information could be outdated, though
my boss says as far as he knows, the tower is still coming down.

I should be at next week's meeting. I've been marrying off a good buddy of
mine and his bachelor party conflicted with April's meeting and his
rehearsal dinner conflicted with May's.

I'm helping out with the American Diabetes Association's "Tour de Cure" ride
this Sunday. It's based out of Reston though much of the ride is in Loudon
County. Willy Williams, KC0GNH at COX.NET, is coordinating. They're still
looking for volunteers to help out if you know anyone that is interested.
They keep scheduling the ride in conflict with the Manassas hamfest, which
makes finding volunteers even more difficult.
