I also stopped by this morning and saw Tommy and his daughter.  He was
sleeping most of the time, but physically looked well.  As Karen mentioned,
he will have a long road ahead, and his family will be helping out quite a
bit and are very grateful and appreciative for all the support that has been
shown to the family.  Tammy is hoping that getting him back home into
familiar surroundings will help in his recovery, as she indicated that Tommy
now thinks he is in a nursing home.  She mentioned that in 90% of these type
of stroke cases, the patient sustains death from the stroke, so for Tommy to
be doing as well as he is is quite remarkable. They are still hoping to get
him home around mid-week.

        Rick and I just visited Tommy and family in the hospital.  His
daughter Tammy says they are looking to bring home Tuesday or Wednesday
(27/28 Nov).  
He is doing better, but it will be a long hard road for him.  His wife is
expected to coming home from the rehabilitation facility Friday (30 Nov) if
everything works out.
 
        Our hats off to the Fire Dept who are putting in a ramp at Tommy's
home, so both he and his wife can come home soon.
 
When we know more I will pass it on.
