We lost a great person in ham radio and our club. Jean Marius Novi (WB4ENNI) died June 19 of sepsis. He was 62.
When Air Florida Flight 90 crashed into the 14th Street bridge on Jan. 13, 1982, he and other hams setup communication between the crash site and hospitals. He was honored by the City and our club. Bob Hunneycutt then club president wrote:
Without your help, the effort put forth by the club would not have been as successful as it turned out.
Known by Marius, his death is a great loss, but he will be remembered in amateur radio.
Request a moment of tribute at our next club meeting.
