[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] Really?

Well, my apologies for the interruption. I can't say
that I was surprised by the hypocritical responses I
received. Replies no doubt from the same individuals I
have observed ridiculing Mr. Miller behind his back.
Late last year I attended one of the dinners and
meetings. My friend and I got to the Chicken Out early
and we sat in the front. A short while later a couple
of guys came in wearing their radios. One was a heavy
set short guy with dark hair and glasses and the other
guy was a bit taller with blond hair. While they were
waiting at the counter, I could hear KC4ZYP asking if
anyone was heading to the Chicken Out. The shorter guy
turned to the blond and said quite clearly, "God I
hope nobody answers him." The blond simply nodded.

After Dinner my friend left and I went to the meeting
location. It looked like the meeting had already
stared so I sat toward the back. I had only one person
introduce themselves. At one point in the discussions,
Mr. Miller gave his opinion and the people behind him
started whispering and laughing. According to your
replies, I gather this too was "good natured fun."
When I was brought up, my Grandmother always said it
was fun to include the person in the laughter and mean
to laugh behind their back.

Like so many others, I was waiting for the FCC to drop
the morse code requirement to get active in Amateur
Radio. Now that it has happened, I plan on getting my
license. Thank you for the offer, however I think it's
best if I look elsewhere for my instruction.

I wont bother your fine group again. You seem to have
a very strong click controlling what happens and I
have a very bad taste for those situation. Have a
wonder day in Ham Radio

James
