[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] Antenna Taking Down Party

Hi again from Lara - 

Sometime in the next 2 weeks or so, Alan Wormser's house will have to be sold, and I can't buy it.  Alan's sister Lisa, the executor of his estate, would like to take down Alan's antenna and have it sold to an appreciative buyer or donated to a needy person or club.  It was suggested to me that I host an Antenna Taking Down Party since I have no earthly clue how to handle taking down Alan's antenna.

Therefore... Would the honorable members of the club please let me know of a date and time that would be the most likely for interested parties to come help me take down Alan's antenna?  I'm happy to buy beer & pizza or other lunchables (possibly healthier lunchables) for those helpers who come.  

If there's someone interested in buying Alan's antenna or know of a needy kid/person/club who needs a donation, please let me know.  If you want to email me privately, use "orange at indy.net."  Alan's friends here in the club probably know more than I do about the antenna specs.  All I can tell you is that it's tall, grey, and stands like a flagpole in his backyard.  Lisa has said that the antenna has been bent and a portion of it looks damaged, but I haven't yet seen it myself.

I will greatly appreciate any help you guys can be in this awkward task.  Lisa isn't really warm to the idea of leaving the antenna there in the hopes another ham operator buys the house.  I'd rather get the antenna into the hands of someone who can use it rather than let it be thrown away.
