[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] 10K Run and Parade

Had a meeting with Joe Shumard regarding the 10K race on the 18th and the
Washington's Birthday Parade.

 

First the Race

 

Need to be CHECKED IN at the AMC movie theater by 7:30 AM plan on being
there between 7 and 7:20 to check in.  Our job will be to be on the course
incase of problems.  Usually it's over by noon.

 

Parade. Monday the 20th.  

 

We will have WC4J setting up at the start point of the race to coordinate
with Mr. Shumard and his folks.  

Rick KA4GFY will coordinate the Marshall efforts  We have 10 Divisions so
one operator for each division would be ideal.  Either Rich or Bryan will
act as Net Control.

Harry N4CWP will be the packet op at the reviewing stand.  If we have enough
people, we will assign a voice op to help out.  Harry you can park your car
behind the reviewing stand.

Rick N4ASX will be the packet station at the corner of St.Asaph and Duke. 

 

We will have parking permits at the same place as last year.  Joe would like
us to limit the spots used to 10 so It would be a good idea if those of you
who can carpool meet at the fire training center and share the ride.

 

I may be able to get a few spots at Lyles Crouch school for Rich and Bryan.
Working on it.

 

Parking restrictions go into effect at 10AM.  Need to have folks with the
marshals by 11AM.

 

Voice will be on the 146.655 repeater.  Don't forget the PL of 141.3hz

 

Packet will be either on 145.07 or 446.07 Up to N4CWP.
