.................................................
On Sunday, September 10, 2006, the Pentagon Amateur Radio Club (PARC) will
be operating a special event station commemorating the attacks that occurred
on the Pentagon, the World Trade Center and over Pennsylvania in 2001. We
will operate on 10m, 15m, 20m, 40m, and 80m; SSB and CW where/when possible.
There will be a special QSL available for stations that work K4AF.
To the extent that we have enough volunteers, we will operate the station on
a 12 hour basis (0800-2000). We anticipate needing at least three (3)
people per (hour) shift - two radio operators and another for miscellaneous
tasks (e.g., escorts, assisting with log entries, breaks, etc). Fellow Ham
friends (non-members, family, etc) are also welcome. Anyone requiring an
escort into the Pentagon during the event should let me know by return
e-mail. If you can't make it to operate, please work us.
Please make your wishes known by return e-mail.
Looking forward to another "successful" and enjoyable event.
