[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] WA3NAN needs volunteers for Retransmission Program

The Goddard Amateur Radio Club will hold a Space Shuttle Retransmission workshop on Saturday August 19 from 12:30 to 2:30 pm at the Goddard Visitors Center.

WA3NAN needs new control operators to support the Space Shuttle Retransmission program. You do not need to work at Goddard to be a retransmission operator. New equipment allows control operators to run the station remotely, you do not need to pull long shifts at the ham shack away from your home and family. If sufficient control operators are not available, GARC and WA3NAN may be forced to discontinue the 25 year long Shuttle Retransmission program.
