Dear Ian:
The Mount Vernon ARC also uses the "mailman.qth.net" email reflector MVARC contributes $200.00 a year for the services. Contributions are made in semi-annual payments of $100.00. So I guess the Alexandria ARC will need to determine an appropriate amount to contribute.
Also will there be 1/2 burgers on the 26th? I should be arriving back in town around six pm, and will need to eat!

If you've received this e-mail you're on the new Alexandria Radio Club
mailing list. Just one problem - you might not be able to post a message or
reply to the list. This will occur if you have registered with an ARRL
address, e.g., n8ik at arrl.net. The reason is that this is a redirector and
not a real e-mail address. Therefore if I post a message to the list it will
originate from ik7565 at verizon.net, not n8ik at arrl.net, and the list software
doesn't know who ik7565 at verizon.net is and so it holds the message for a
moderator's decision.
Now we all know how convenient the ARRL addresses are so here's two
solutions. 1) When you post a message and it gets held for moderation, we
will add your real address to the list and mark it "hidden/no mail" so that
other members only see your ARRL address and you don't get duplicate posts.
Or 2) is to send me an e-mail with your real address now and I'll add it
manually and mark it "hidden/no mail". That way your posts won't get held up
waiting for a moderator.
