Pretty neat bit of software.
I'm hoping to get some eggbeaters built and do some satellite grid roving this summer. Maybe for 6m and the June VHF contest as well.

> Rovers — check out the route planner. You can lay out a multi-grid activation, see drive times between stops, and export to KML/GPX for your nav. Plans can be saved as drafts and published to the event calendar so people know where you'll be.

>> Some may see the award tracking as redundant to their logging program. What Gridzilla does that your logging program can't do, is use your log data along with all the other users, to create most needed status for grids and states on the VHF through microwave bands. This data can then be used by rovers and grid expeditioners in planning for their next big adventure based on user needs.

>> Background:
>>
>> The Fred Fish Memorial Award (FFMA) was created 18 years ago and is awarded to amateurs working and confirming all 488 grids on 50 MHz in the contiguous 48 states. This award is a subset of the VUCC award. Since its inception, award progress and grid most needed status has been tracked and maintained on a spreadsheet.
>>
>> A few years ago, a spinoff of the FFMA spreadsheet was created to track needed grids on 144 MHz, 222 MHz and 432 MHz in the lower 48. It was called US488.
>>
>> Many rovers, activators and grid expeditioners have used the data provided by those spreadsheets to plan their next big outing and have worked very well.
>>
>> Now there is Gridzilla.
>> A comprehensive VHF, UHF, Microwave planning tool that covers the 6m to 1mm bands to help VHF+ operators track their progress toward the FFMA, VUCC and WAS awards while also making that data available to create most needed lists which can be used by stations to plan their next big grid expedition based on user needs.
>> Behind the scenes, Gridzilla removes all the manual tasks involved in maintaining the original spreadsheets.
>> Maps and data are as current as the last user update.
>> The current FFMA and US488 spreadsheets may be retired once this tool is fully operational.
>>
>> Gridzilla is not live yet but is looking for more users/testers that are:
>>
>> * Actively working toward VHF/UHF+ awards (FFMA, VUCC, WAS).

>> * Have electronic logbooks that contain VHF+ QSOs.
>> * Have LOTW accounts with VHF+ QSOs.

>>
>> Don't worry If you miss the opportunity to register. A second link will be made available later in the week. This is being done to spread out the registrations to see how the database and tools handle an increased load. Shortly thereafter, Gridzilla will go live and be available for registrations anytime.
