Been a long time since I have hosted the net from Home.
Last Saturday David-KL7ZK, Mike-KL5PJ, and Huck-KL? helped by moving my
2m, 222, and HF/6m radios from the new hamshack back to the house and
connected tri-band HF yagi, 6m yagi, and 222 yagis. 2m coax line tested
high SWR so 2m left not in service.
Tuesday David attempted to find the 2m coax line in terrible wx
(cold-windy and struggling thru deep snow drifts).
I tested the 222 SWR with my Bird43 PWR/SWR meter and SWR is good.
David suggested trying that antenna on 2m. I did and with use of an
antenna tuner have low SWR (1.3) using the 222 dual yagis on 2m; 146.94
repeater comes up to S=7.5 vs S9+ my 2m dual yagis so will be usable on
the Kenai Peninsula and perhaps reach KL6M or KL7H, up north?
Net begins at 9:30 am on 143.200 USB and switches to 146.52 FM about 10 am.
I will share Net Control with David-KL7ZK (who gets out better). BIG
thanks to David for running the net in my absence (nice to be back home!).

PS: 10-15-20m is hot the last couple days!
