Net begins at 9:30am on 144.200 USB and ends at 10:00 am.

Due to the September ARRL VHF Contest starting at 10:00am the net will 
not continue beyond 10:00 am.

The Contest in Alaska is more of an "Activity Event" vs competition.

All bands from 50-MHz (6m) and higher are included in the contest.  All 
modes: CW/SSB/FM/digital are permitted.

Times: Saturday Sept. 9, 1800 utc (10:00 am AKDST) until Sept 11, 0259 
utc (6:59 pm AKDST Sunday).

If you are member of the AK VHF-Up Group please enter the club name with 
your entry.  We get mention in QST Contest standings if a min of three 
logs are submitted.

Contact exchange four-digit Grid Squares (like BP51 for most of 
Anchorage, and BP40 for Western Kenai Peninsula.  Grid squares are 
multipliers for scoring (see rules).

Since participation in AK is by small number of stations, odds are very 
good to win for Alaska Section.

There is an FM-ONLY contest category for bands: 50MHz - 1.2 GHz

Home or mobile (called rovers) or portable operation is allowed (see 
link, above for operating requirements).  No IRLP or EchoLink contacts.

No use of repeaters or digipeters or airplane mobile is allowed.  Use 
simplex frequencies for contacts.
