Brandon,

I had pretty good turnout for the contest, though not many from
Anchorage were heard.

6m = 4
2m = 5
222 = 2
446 = 2
worked tree grids.

I missed 4 stations on 6 FT8. Two Homer an one Seward station on
6m-FT8. Also, noted several on FT8 were not running contest mode
(providing grid square) so contacts did not count for the contest.

My dual 2m yagis worked well. I heard you at S5 on FM and S2 on SSB.
Worked WL7AU (S0) on 2m SSB for first time since loosing my 11-element
yagi.  KL3WF was S5 on 2m.

The dual yagis appear to be 12-dB stronger than my 2m vertical for
signals from Anchorage.

My 3-element 6m yagi now points toward Anchorage and I put up my 6m
moxon on mast fastened to my deck railing and pointed SE to work
lower-48 and stations south of me. Easy switch between the 6m antennas
using my 80w 6m amp equipped with two ant connectors.

I have a coax switch rigged for quick switching on 2m between my
vertical and the new yagis.

I have to swap cables to feed UHF to the vertical. My VHF/UHF diplexer
appears open-ckt (SWR>9). I will replace it eventually for quick
changing from 2m to 70cm.

422/900/1296 yagis did not get installed last weekend as I was chasing
down bad SWR all Saturday and ran out of tine on Sunday. I got debri in
my right eye from using a grinder on Sunday which made everything hard
to do. Saw doctor Monday who found the speck of metal and removed it.

I will do some calling Sunday morning 9-12 on 146.52 and 50.313 FT8,
hoping for a 6m opening.

73, Ed - KL7UW
