Thanks, Mike, and I agree. I like my weekday evenings open.
Craig-KL7H and Brandon-KL7BSC replied with suggestions, also.
So...
WE will experiment by extending the Saturday Net until 11:00 am, as follows:
9:30am to approx 10:15 the original net will be held on 144.200 USB
followed by 146.52 FM as an anchor/coordinating frequency for those who
wish to operate on 6m (SSB or digital), 223.50 FM,
432.200-SSB/446.00-FM/digital), 927.50 FM, or 1294.50 FM/1296.100 USB,
or digital. Net ending before the 11:00am time slot that the swap-net
on 3920-KHz is held.
Clearly, 6m and 2m is more highly occupied than UHF/mw bands. I am
working toward 50 thru 1296 capability and have radios/amps/antennas
in-hand but needing installation (the hard part). I believe I will have
capability to work more stations in Anch/valley area in the future;
6m/2m out to 400-miles (or more) eventually (Kw on both bands). I
bought a RFC 2-317 170w 2m amp from e-bay yesterday (eta Feb.1).
Not all bands or modes will be activated each week, but band/mode
changes decided real-time each week. 45-minutes is probably not enough
time to "do it all". First 45 minutes will remain as a 14.200 USB Net;
Last Saturday FM Net discontinued.
If someone has a special request for a band or mode to be held, they
can contact me in advance to schedule that into the Net Announcement.
This is an experiment and we can change if this doesn't work out.
