Hi Ed,
I had a good night in camp. It was a lot harder than I planned getting the camp set up, so I didn't get the HF and 6 M gear up and running. I still managed to contact KL6M on the hillside though, so at least I got a successful test of the collapsible yagi antenna.
Since we came back from the trip early I'm going to do an acivation fom the truck tomorrow. Point Woronzof near the Ted Stevens Airport qualifies as part of the Anchorage Coastal Wildlife Refuge.
I'm going to bring the same gear as planned for today's trip: collapsible yagi, 6 M dipole, and HF setup. I'll be on-air around 1100 if anyone wants to try a QSO. Keep an ear on 146.52 FM.
