I am Now in room 107 Herittage Place. Still no speaker phone. Herritage has visitor hours so call them before visiting.
My room has a nice window by the bed which might work with my Buofeng HT; but haven't asked if it can be used
M-F I am in rehab but none on Sat-Sunday.
Most of the time I am in the wheelchair or recliner chair, so much more mobile.
Try to have more info on next e-mail

Brandon, I have a very hard time navigating the ak-vhf Digest so am emailing
you directly.
I've been filling in for ED as group (net) control while he is in the
hospital for the Saturday morning.
I believe that you are now, pretty much up to date on Ed's conditions but I
wanted to tell you that he is in room 224 at CPH. I did get ONE email from
him (a group mailing) stating that he had a laptop but nothing since then.
Janet (his wife) has been keeping me up to date via text.
There is a plan in the works to use the dual band transceiver at the
hospital E station to get Ed on the air on .52 FM. Tomorrow, I plan to go
up and configure it so that he can get into 52 via handheld on low power on
a 446 frequency. (not yet determined).
Do you have any questions? If so, please direct them to me via email at

good on qrz.com
