 Hey Brandon,
In my last message to you, I said I received a Christmas card from Ed and Janet. I just now opened the envelope and found a letter from Janet saying that Ed is in the hospital dealing with a serious leg infection. Part of his left leg has been removed below the knee and Ed eventually will need a prosthetic fitted. He has been in the hospital since Nov. 21.
Janet said, "Currently (12-08-2023) he is making good progress, appetite is returning, pain meds are lessening, and his outlook is positive. They're talking about discharging him soon, but we don't know when "soon" is. Likely he will be transferred to Heritage Place for Short Term Rehab, which will allow him better access to physical therapy more often than he is getting at the hospital. There's a lot we are learniing as we go, but we're going to get there."
