Ok, that looks lke fun. When I heard about RaDAR before it was as a stand-alone thing. That's cool that it has been integrated into POTA.
Batteries are pretty easy. Just pick up some cheap SLAB cells and call it good. Or spring for a lithium cell if you want more power for the weight. I use both.
Depending on how comfortable you are with setting up portable we could either tag team each site as a two-op activation, or work separate sites in sequence for the park-to-park contacts, meeting up at different points. I would have fun either way.
There's also the option of doing a simple, local activation before the Kenai run as a way to test gear. I'm planning to do that anyway since I'm in the middle of reconfiguring my gear. I want to make sure it all works before the big weekend.
(Kevin, you should come out too.)

It's on the POTA award website page. https://parksontheair.com/pota-awards/ We will qualify for several levels I'm sure. Getting 12 parks within 24hrs would actually be easier in the valley. Batteries will be one thing I'll will be looking to acquire. 73, Jason A. Any thoughts on having one day where we try and get the rapid deployment awards? With multiple people it wouldn't be hard to work up the ladder of the awards: Warthog Award: two RaDAR* transitions at or between entities during a 24 hour period. Rhino Award: three RaDAR* transitions at or between entities during a 24 hour period. Cheetah Award: five RaDAR* transitions at or between entities during a 24 hour period Ostrich Award: seven RaDAR* transitions at or between entities during a 24 hour period. Leopard Award: ten RaDAR* transitions at or between entities during a 24 hour period. Lion Award: twelve RaDAR* transitions at or between entities during a 24 hour period I don't know what gear people would be bringing, but of the good portable gear, I have a dualband rollup J-pole, a 40/20/15/10 wire fan dipole, HF radio, and probab > > ly most importantly a Panasonic toughbook computer. We can use my toughbook and not worry about breaking it. It's been left out in the rain during camping, and for hours in the snow. It has GPS built in, which will help for FT8 accurate clock time, but I haven't dealt with actually accessing its GPS chipset. I don't know what the plan is on camping, but I also have a 6 person 4 season tent with cots and any other needed camping gear if anybody wants to go and is light on camping gear. 73, Jason A.
