Hello group,
Sorry I missed the net this weekend. I had a chance to do an impromptu
trip out to Valdez. We were planning to camp out for a few nights, but
came back early since everything was still either frozen or flooded.
I did manage to get in a quick Parks on the Air activation yesterday
morning. We camped out at Squirrel Creek SRS south of Copper Center, and
band conditions were pretty favorable in the morning. I didn't have time
for a long activation, but I got in about 17 contacts over the course of
an hour or so.
This week I'm going to try to get some stuff posted on the website
regarding the June VHF contest. I'm going to do a combination of a rover
route with a few Parks on the Air locations, which should be a lot of
fun. Details to follow . . .
