That was very interesting! They sound like 2 meter voice signal for some odd
reason. But they were on 75 meters SSB.

Subject: [AK-VHF] LDEs
I ran across this file on my computer. It is just a small piece of a longer
one recorded by Frank, K7DS, sometime in 1977. The recording is of some
local to Seattle area hams experiencing LDEs (long delayed echos). Voices
heard on the recording are those of K7DS, Johnny, my brother, WA7OTT (most
recently KE7V (sk)), and Danny, K7JCA (now K7SS).
Another participant in this activity was Hal Gullstad, W7AAK (sk), the FCC
engineer who administered the ham license exams at the Old Federal Office
Building in Seattle.
The activity was on the 75m band at night.
Unfortunately, the original casette recording was misplaced by a family
member and its present location is not known. But what can be heard on this
.wav file is enough to get the feel for what went on.

It's not very long. You can listen to it before turning the rig on.
