Brandon,
I'm usually up by (or before) 8am. I can give you tests on 2m & 70cm
(1296 not tested or connected as yet).
I moved my Cushcraft ARX-270 dual-band vertical, today. It was on the
SE end of the house at 14 foot. I took the top 20-foot of a 10m J-pole
(1.5 inch aluminum pipe) and installed it on top of my ten foot Rohn-25
tower (which was originally intended for satellite antennas). The tower
is about 2-foot below grade and mast is about 3-foot inside the tower so
antenna base is now 25-foot above ground on the NE end of the house.
Coax is a bit longer than before. Antenna is 17-foot long.
147.33 repeater comes in at S8 and 147.30 at S7.5 (maybe a tad better);
146.94 is S9. Homer (146.91) is S3 which seems lower than before.
Hoping simplex contacts are stronger with Anchorage.
