[AK-VHF] New Antennas

Hello group,

I wanted to let everyone know about some new antennas going up at my place (Anchorage) in the next few weeks. I'm going to be standing up Yagi antennas on 2 M, 70 cm, and 23 cm. Those will all be in vertical orientation.

I'm also going to add a 6 M antenna set for horizontal polarization. I'm not sure yet if I'm going to use a 2-element or 4-element antenna for that band. I have a lightweight two-element one I've used for roving, and am building a 4-element antenna after field day. It will probably depend on what it seems like the rotator can handle.

With some luck I'll be in a good position to get on the Saturday nets from home. Right now I'm very limited with what I can do from home, so the new setup should help considerably.

I'm also thinking about running some digital modes for fun either before or after the Saturday net. Stay tuned for updates once I get the antennas up.
