After seeing Brandon's new IC9700 (which he used roving for the
contest), I decided it would look good in my shack.  Ordered it from
DXEngineering, today (may take a week for delivery).  The IC9700 is
2m-100w, 432-75w, 1296-10w.  I will still use my K3 on 144, 432, 1296
for SSB/eme with DEMI transverters.  The main use of the IC9700 will be
FM/SSB on 144 and 432, plus satellite, and packet/APRS.

It will replace my FT-736R (144&432 bands installed).  The FT-736R has
done well, though it dates back to the early days of digital VFO's.  I
will sell the FT-736R (will be listed on Swap Net).  Will give priority
to keep it in AK (by pre-paid shipping).

The FT-736R is all-mode 25w radio.  It is capable of 50/222/1296 with
optional band modules (not supplied).
