The ARRL January VHF contest starts this Saturday at 10:00 local. I've been planning a 6-meter rover route that will take me through 5 grids, starting at BP75, and stopping in BP65, BP55, BP54, and ending in BP64. On recent roves, I've worked 6 m into Southcentral and as far down as BO49 using FT-8, MSK144, and CW, without a sporadic E opening. If you're on FT-8 with a yagi that can point north, this should be a good chance to pick up some grids north of the Alaska Range.

If I go, I plan to do it all in 1 day, starting at 10 am, finishing up at 8 pm. I know its tough to sit in front of the radio all day on the weekend, but if you're interested in listening/calling for me for at least a few grid stops, let me know. If enough folks are interested, I'll send out a schedule here by Thursday night.

Thanks for reading!

73,
Ken NL7B
