The net will begin at 9:30am on 144.200 USB. I will also monitor 223.50 FM.

Note: there will be a 6m Sprint (contest) Saturday afternoon 15:00 to 19:00.

There will a lot of activity on 50.125 SSB and 50.313 FT8 in the
lower-48. This the beginning of the sporatic-E season so there is a
possibility of an opening on 6m to the West Coast. If you hear
stations calling from down there be sure to add "Alaska" after your
callsign so they know you are DX. 10w and small beam is sufficient
for working such an opening (more power and bigger antennas, help, of
course). During openings stations spread out every 5-KHz above
50.125, so you may have more luck being heard off of 50.125. Once
KL7 is discovered you will find yourself in a pile up calling you! GREAT FUN!

Even if there is no opening this event is an opportunity to work
fellow Alaskans.

My only functional 6m antenna is a 3-element beam pointed SE (no
rotator). 80w on 6m.
