Good luck to all participants in the Contest this weekend. Sporadic E propagation looks like it's going to be good and a lot of people will be taking part in the contest in the Lower-48, many of which still need to work Alaska as the last or one of the last states they need for the Worked All States Award on 50 MHz. Many of us will have our antennas in your direction from time to time as conditions indicate. I hope we work some of you in the contest.

The net starts at 9:30am until 10:00 when the June ARRL VHF Contest begins.
Note that there are two rovers in the contest this time:
KL7VHF/R run by Brandon - KL7BSC using the club callsign (see his
plans:
)
and from Fairbanks:
NL7B/R, Ken

There are two attachments which might not get forwarded by the
list. The Google Map itinerary of NL7B is quite interesting.
Both rovers are operating on both Saturday and Sunday so look over
their plans. Often many other stations are active in trying to
contact the rovers so this provides a good opportunity for working
more stations, as well.
Contest details:

Four digit grid square is exchanged for contest points instead of
signal report. Most of Anchorage/valley is BP51 and western Kenai
Penin is BP40
In south central AK we will likely begin on 144.200 SSB but also
operate 146.52 FM, 50.125 SSB, 52.525 FM, 223.50 FM, 432.200 SSB, 446.00 FM.
A few may try 927.50 FM, 1294.50 FM and 1296 SSB. Use of repeaters
NOT allowed for making contacts.
ARRL VHF Contest rules allow self-spotting so you can announce that
you are operating the contest on the air or on logging websites,
etc. Use of repeaters NOT allowed.
Note: that June is prime time to see 6m openings to lower-48
(typically sporatic-E prop) and recent activity has been strong using
FT8 on 50.313.
