is up and about. I'm planning to head out on a trip this Saturday but I
just might be able to tune in and see who is about.

Some of my biggest eye openers as to all the interesting activities of
Amateur Radio has come from following other club's email lists and checking
out their websites.  There are so many sorts of fun activities we can
participate in or even duplicate here in Alaska. I just recently came
across a simple fun contest by Rochester NY's VHF group. It has no
geographic limitations so feel free to join in. I'm sure they would be
surprised and glad to see our scores posted. It takes place this Saturday,
01/02/21, at 1600z (7:00am AK time) for one hour. Bands: 50Mhz, 144Mhz, and
222Mhz. So make sure your morning coffee is hot, dust off that 50Mhz
antenna and see who you can reach.
