Hi Ed,

I still need to get a decent Yagi put up at my place, and then I'll be 
able to reach you guys on the net. I'm house-hunting these days though, 
so that may have to wait. I'll try to join in from a mobile location now 
and then though. I used to do that when I first moved up here. The 
trailhead for Mt. Baldy is an awesome VHF site. Reaching the Kenai only 
requires about 5 watts and a handheld antenna, although more gain or 
power never hurts.

Just a reminder to the group, next Saturday is the first of the 
workshops that we are nosting. This one takes place Saturday the 8th at 
the AARC clubhouse. I'll be doing a hands-on run through of how to use 
APRS. If you've ever been curious about what all the fuss is about then 
this is the time to come and learn.
