[AK-VHF] WSJT Modes

Brandon,

Holding the Saturday Net right now.

I am not hearing of any AK stations running digital modes during the
contests. Some Pac NW stations have run on 6m but usually wait till
SSB activity falls off to switch to digital. Several years ago we
had prop to them and I worked many using JT65 (FT8 had not been created).

That would be my recommendation: work SSB/FM until you exhaust the
stations workable then "announce you are moving to a digital mode and
the frequency used".

By July 20 CQ VHF Contest weekend I shoud have my 6m dual-yagi
functional with up to 1000w. Be interested I trying stations out to
1300 miles (meteor scatter range). BTW July 20 is the Kenai Hamfest
date - hope to see many of you there!
