Update:
Pulled all control lines and coax lines from the 2m tower so it is
off-line for a few weeks (until area is groomed into new lawn).
I also removed my high-gain dual-band vertical (CC ARX-270) from end
of garage and removed stand-off brackets. I will mount it on other
end of the house using the same brackets and probably shorter run of
LMR-400. That will be my only operative antenna until either the 6m
azimuth rotator is replaced (I have two 11-element KLM 2m yagis
mounted above at 45-foot), or have cables restored to the 2m tower.
I decided there was no location to side-mount the ARX-270 on my HF
tower that was not too close to either wire antennas or guy
wires. Also removed the ten-foot Rohn-25 tower that supports
satellite antennas. It will be mounted on new concrete base at end
of the dog kennel (with shorter coax runs).
Today earth work was done on garage end of the house and
excavation/preparation for pouring a 6x24 foot concrete base for a
dog run and kennel.
Hopefully, my antenna systems will be back in normal operation before
the June ARRL VHF Contest.
