[AK-VHF] VHF contest

Hello group,

I'll be roving around throughout the day, so if you're able to make
contact with any of the Anchorage area stations feel free to send me an
email and we can try to set up a qso. My rover station is a bit limited,
but it never hurts to give it a shot.

Ed, I'll catch you on the net tomorrow morning at 9. Also, a heads up to
the group: the loaded vertical I'm using for 6M has very narrow
bandwidth, so I can only operate in the upper half of the band. I can
still run any mode, of course.

I love seeing all the interest out there. We definitely need to
coordinate for the January event and set up a shcedule to try some
long-haul stuff between Anchorage and Fairbanks. After all the interest
this year we definitely have people on both ends of the route who make
it happen. You might not even need a WSJT mode to make the contacts.
Even something straightforward like psk31 might be enough to make the
Anchorage-Fairbanks path work - especially in January when you have snow
everywhere and can bounce signals more easily.
