Brandon,

Good to hear this.  Your updated itinerary is posted as a pdf link 
from www.qsl.net/AK-VHF .
If your travel time gets altered along the way, it is permitted to 
"self-spot" which means you can call someone to alert the rest of us 
on the time change.  Use of non-radio means is called working with 
assistance which is now permitted by the rules.

Some folks use APRS tracking which is displayed on the Internet.

Also, we have some northern AK members who may read the list so 
hopefully will spread the word of your roving up north.

Also do not ignore using FM simplex for making contacts.  Check the 
rules for admissible frequencies.
