Net will start at 9am on 144.200 USB
Made a little progress today as there was no wind. 432 drive was
measured at AMP input as 26w for 30w at radio: 0.63 dB loss. I
turned down the FT-736R to 23w so no more than 13w drive results at
the amp (gives 100w output at this level. Driving harder results in
amplifier fold back. Also tested the mgf-1302 preamp. 432 is QRV
though array is still lowered.
I discovered my third control cable was unconnected at the shack
cable entrance so do not have remote control of 28v PS ac power or
switching 28v to 900/1296 amps. Cable is frozen into ice on
ground. If calm tomorrow I may get 1296 loop-yagi remounted and
hardline reconnected. Maybe chip out the control cable and finish
drilling/tapping crossboom plate for 900-MHz loop-yagi. I hope to
test both 927.5 and 1296 50w amps before raising antennas.
